Say their name, say their name!
Fan favorites Destiny’s Child are reportedly set to reunite for their 20th anniversary next year.
Sources say lead singer Beyoncé has masterminded a secret plan to get the girl band back together.
Queen Bey is believed to have been inspired by the success of the Spice Girls reunion tour, according to The Sun.
Still the best of friends, Michelle Williams, 39, and Kelly Rowland, 38, are said to have been thrilled to be back together as a three piece.
The ladies not only want to embark on a huge U.S. and European tour, but want to get back into the studio. No doubt they want to recreate their biggest hits such as Survivor, Say My Name and Independent Women.
The reunion would mark the 20th anniversary of Michelle joining the band and therefore the start of Destiny’s Child as it is known today.
Destiny’s Child was formed in 1997 in Houston, Texas. It was then called Girl’s Tyme and comprised of Knowles, Rowland, LaTavia Roberson, and LeToya Luckett.
A source told The Sun, that Beyonce believes 2020 is the perfect time for the band to reunite.
“Beyonce has been desperate to get the girls back together with her in the studio and she can’t think of a better time than 2020,” the insider said.
“They will be marking two decades as one of the world’s biggest all-female groups.”
“She saw the success of the Spice Girls tour and wants to replicate that — but far bigger and better. Beyonce has been meeting with Kelly and Michelle and discussing what they can do.”
After their releasing their hit album Destiny’s Fulfilled in 2005, the band decided to take a break.
The popular trio got back together in 2018 and wowed fans as they supported Beyonce at music festival Coachella.
Kelly and Michelle also recently supported Bey at the Lion King premiere as the group and good friends posed together on the red carpet.
