Your favorite Canadian rapper is giving back to the fans who made him.
On Tuesday afternoon, Drake surprised shoppers at the Sabor Tropical Supermarket in Miami by buying $50K worth of groceries for them.
‘Miami thank you!’ the 31-year-old Grammy winner – who boasts 110.6M social media followers – wrote on Thursday.
‘Last 3 days were the best I have had in a very long time…There’s nothing like seeing people experience a joyful moment when you can tell they need it the most.’
‘No one knew he was coming at all, we just came to do groceries. Cameras were being set up so we were all wondering what was to happen,’ patron Guille Deza told E! News.
‘He took photos with everyone who asked and shook hands. He helped people find what they were looking for and encouraged all – to buy everything they want and to fill their carts.’
Later that day, the ‘Hotline Bling’ rapper donated $50K to the Lotus House Shelter.
The handsome hunk passed out $150 Target gift cards to the homeless women as well as toys and games for the children.
Drake – born Aubrey Graham – kicked off his charitable streak on Monday.
He gave South Carolina student Destiny James a $50K check towards her tuition to the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music.
Drake also stopped by Miami High School where he donated a $25K check.
He also gave out school uniforms designed by his fashion label OVO.
The hitmaker was in Florida shooting the music video for his new single God’s Plan.
The tune has topped both Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and R&B/Hip-Hop charts.
But by Thursday, Drake was already hard at work in the recording studio where he shared a b&w snap captioned: ‘Back to terrorizing this room.’
