Flying

By Road
As flying can be expensive, most visitors choose to drive around Canada. However, remember how big the country is and how far apart cities are when planning your route! Although Ottawa and Toronto might look close on a map, the journey will take almost 5 hours by car. Toronto to Winnipeg will take over 20 hours, so unless you have a long stay planned, it’s almost impossible to enjoy all Canada has to offer in a single trip.
However, if you do decide to hire a car, you will find that driving in Canada is relatively straightforward. Highways connect most major towns and cities, and they are generally not too busy. Renting a car is easy, with many foreign driving licenses accepted.
Renting an RV is another popular option that will give you the flexibility to go where you want when you want. You’ll find plenty of styles to choose from, so the whole family can travel in luxurious comfort! Western Canada
Since Canada is so large, it’s best to focus on a particular area of the country during your trip. Even then, you’ll still find there is so much to see and do!
Western Canada has plenty to offer, with many visitors to this region choosing to explore the Canadian Rockies. One popular option is to take a road trip from Calgary towards the coast, stopping off at Banff and Jasper National Parks along the way. Alternatively, head further west, right to the coast, and spend some time exploring Vancouver and Vancouver Island. There’s also the ski town of Whistler in this area. Although it might be best known for winter sports, there are plenty of museums and stunning walks you can take here if you don’t consider yourself an adrenaline junkie!
Central Canada
If you’d prefer to see more of Canada’s city life, exploring the central part of the country might be for you.
