Top 4 Movies That Featured Recreational Marijuana Use

Recreational Marijuana Use

Over the last couple of decades, the support of marijuana has blossomed into something far more amazing and well-accepted. There are many reasons why this is the case. One is that more people know more about marijuana and its benefits – hence they are willing to accept it even more. Another factor is pot culture.

Pot culture basically refers to the culture surrounding marijuana. This developed because of a wealth of films and movies that explore the plant. There have been many amazing movies that focused on highlighting the good times to be had with recreational marijuana, but we believe that these are the best ones so far.

Mac And Devin Go To High School

Snoop Dogg has been synonymous with pot culture. It shouldn’t be surprising that the stars in a film that features the use of recreational marijuana. He’s even starring alongside his cousin and fellow marijuana connoisseur, Whiz Khalifa, in this amazing comedy that many aficionados dub as one of the best marijuana films to date.

The premise of the film is simple, Devin played by Whiz Khalifa is a straight-A high school student. On the opposite side is Mac, a high school student who’s been stuck in the system for a long-time. Devin will do his best to ensure that Mac doesn’t stay in high school any longer by helping him graduate.

What makes the film more fantastic is the amazing dynamic and chemistry of Whiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg. As this is a marijuana film starring Snoop Dogg himself, you can bet that there are TONS OF WEED to be smoked. It’s fun, light-hearted, and most importantly, a good film waiting to be watched.

Weed

One of the reasons why people are more accepting of marijuana is that experts and prominent names themselves have continued to highlight the good behind the plant. A good documentary to watch that features the growth of the industry is 2014’s Weed, starring CNN’s Dr. Sajay Gupta.

Weed isn’t just an exploration of marijuana. It’s an exploration of the cannabis industry as a whole. The film also dives deep into CBD for your health and why it’s one of the leading medical movements in America currently. This film tackles both the financial and medical aspects behind the industry.

The four-part documentary aims to educate and not simply to entertain. It’s also one of the best documentaries about weed to date, and it’s something you might want to watch along with people who are more conservative about marijuana. For sure, this film has changed the minds of countless already.

This Is The End

Seth Rogen is one of the icons of weed currently. The 2013 post-apocalyptic film, This is the End, is arguably one of his funniest works yet.

In this film, Seth Rogen, James Franco, and every other celebrity that appears in the film play as themselves. The world’s ending and the stars struggle to survive. Rogen, being the stoner that he is, constantly ensures that he gets a whiff of the good stuff all throughout the film.

The concept of the film is crazy enough on its own already, but the hi-jinx that the stars get themselves into is really amazing and memorable. Although marijuana isn’t the star of the film, it does get a ton of screen time through the various scenes of Rogen and his friends.

Reefer Madness

Again, the cannabis industry has been under tremendous growth over the last couple of decades. It used to be a drug that was looked down upon heavily. Now, its legality has been the topic of debate across all states, and it might only be a matter of time before we see it federally legalized.

It’s good to explore how much public opinion on marijuana has changed over the last couple of years. A good film to watch that explores this is the 1930s classic, Reefer Madness. It may come as a surprise to you, but yes, marijuana has been in the media as early as the early 1900s.

Reefer Madness explores a new drug that’s allegedly “destroying the youth of America.” Of course, that drug being referred to is nothing other than marijuana. It does put marijuana in a bad light, but it’s good to see how far the industry has come in terms of public opinion.

If you want some good times and an even better laugh, you might want to explore these 4 movies. There are countless other films out there that highlight the good of recreational marijuana, but it’s certainly worth looking into what potheads consider as the best of the best.
