The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World is the most visited theme park in the world with nearly 57,000 guests per day.
Like most vacation resorts, however, it can be expensive. For a family of four, you can expect to spend around $5,000 (including airfare, accommodations, tickets).
Fortunately, there are ways to save money on your next trip. For example, you can get discounts by joining the Disney Vacation Club.

1. Ticket Discounts
Discounts on park tickets are offered from time to time. There was a period when you could save 20% on standard park tickets.
While that’s not available at the moment, there are other offers that you can take advantage of. For example, you can get discount tickets on special events such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
Not only that, but you may also be able to save on annual passes (specials are occasionally offered through Membership Extras to eligible members).
2. Restaurant and Shopping Discounts
Disney Vacation Club members can save up to 20% at select restaurants throughout the resort (learn more about the DVC resales timeline). For instance, you can save 10% at Cinderella’s Royal Table.
That’s not all, you can also save on character dining experiences. You can save 10% at Chef Mickey’s, a breakfast and dinner buffet where you can dine with Mickey Mouse and his friends.
You can also get discounts at certain snack shops throughout the parks (e.g. Goofy’s Candy Company, Candy Cauldron, Karamell-Küche).
And for those who like shopping, you can show your ID card for a discount on select merchandise (up to 20%). That’s one of the greatest DVC membership benefits.
3. Top of the World Lounge
Top of the World Lounge is an upscale bar that’s located on the 16th floor of Bay Lake Tower. They offer light bites and refreshing cocktails as well as a sweeping view of Walt Disney World.
There’s even an observation deck where you can watch the fireworks from. It’s the highest point on Walt Disney World property.
As far as the main room goes, there’s open seating at both tables and the bar, the latter of which features a mural of a speeding monorail. There’s also a small side room with banquette seating and an added curtain for privacy.
