Christmas might be in the air and the holiday spirit might be seeping into everybody’s souls but the drama never stops, at least when it comes to Luann de Lesseps.
The mother of two, who recently turned fifty-two earlier this year, was taken into custody by officials of the Palm Beach police department in a bizarre turn of events.
According to reports, the reality television star who is known especially for being a cast member of ‘Real Housewives of New York City’ was taken into custody at 1:25 am on Christmas Eve.
Reportedly, Luann de Lesseps was involved in a fracas that involved a police officer and several residents of Palm Beach.
The reality televisions star was later charged with four different felonies including battery, disorderly intoxication, resisting a police officer with violence and corruption by threat of a public servant.
Eyewitness reports say that the veteran of the reality television industry and former model slammed a door and kicked at least one police officer during the fracas which lasted almost a quarter of an hour.
‘I’m going to kill you all,’ a representative of the state government said De Lesseps repeatedly screamed at people prior to her arrest.

Although bail was set at twenty thousand dollars, the mother of two was released on her own recognizance and has been ordered to appear in a state court on January 25 next year.
In a short hearing, Judge Ted Booras took a bold step in allowing de Lesseps to travel back to New York since she has no prior criminal offenses.
But he cautioned her not to ignore the charges against her as he was quoted as saying to the Real Housewives of New York star,

Later in the day, Luann released a statement and apologized ‘to anyone I might have offended by my behavior’.
An excerpt from the statement of the Countess as she is known by mainstream media read,
‘This was my first time in Palm Beach since my wedding, and being here brought up long-buried emotions. I want to offer my sincere apologies to anyone I might have offended by my behavior. I am committed to transformative and hopeful 2018.’
This is not the first time that the Countess of reality television has been involved in situations like this.
She has practically gone off the rails ever since her divorce from ex-husband Tom D’Agostino whom she legally ended things with this time last year.
Her ex-husband, Tom D’Agostino, who is currently in Palm Beach for Christmas with his family and will be joined by his girlfriend Anna Rothschild next week, had no comment on her arrest
She did look like she has gotten things together as hours before the incidence which led to her arrest, she seemed in good spirits as, she posted a short clip on her Instagram story showing her longtime friend and former model, Julie Olsen, picking out dresses from a closet.

After being released, de Lesseps reportedly went to her brother’s house in nearby Jupiter where she hid away from the media.
A few of her cast-mates on Real Housewives of New York have tried to contact her, but claim her phone is off and going to voicemail, a source told DailyMail.com.
In the aftermath of the incidence, reports have started surfacing that her drinking and issues with violence were a big part of the reasons why D’Agostino split up with the star.
A source close to D’Agostino told DailyMail.com,
‘Tom left her for this reason because she was so violent. She used to punch, kick and scratch him. And in public. It doesn’t surprise me, especially when she drinks. And boy does she like to drink. She clearly has a problem.’
Hopefully, she can get her act together in the new year.
