J.A. Bayona the director of Fallen Kingdom is quite famous for his work in the fantasy and horror genre. Not only this, but he has also produced Jurassic World which was indeed the most entertaining one. Now, he is all set to release the first two episodes of the Lord of the Rings prequel series. This announcement has been made by Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday. Bayona is also famous for his award-winning horror movie The Orphanage which was released in 2007. The addition to his best movies to date has not stopped and now he is back with another hit.
Earlier, Bayona has directed the two episodes of a horror drama series named as Penny dreadful which was out in 2014. He will be serving as an executive producer alongside Belen Atienza who is a producing partner of Bayona. He is now joining the team and has said that it is a pleasure to work with J.R.R. Tolkien who is the creator of the most inspiring and extraordinary stories. He is eager t give his best to the accomplishment of the first two episodes of The Lord of the Rings and he wants to let the audience see a never seen story.
According to J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, having J.A. Bayona and Belen will be a thrilling experience as they continue to develop this epic and much-awaited series. Just like the other award-winning stories they are expecting this series to be one of the best ones.
Furthermore, Bayona says that the series is now close to production with the expectation of a cost of around $1 billion during the process. This show commits of five seasons which are expected to be thrilling and must watch by all the fans of The Lord of the rings.
