Beyonce's Mom Leads The Birthday Tributes As The Superstar Turns 38

A huge happy birthday goes out to the living legend that is Beyonce.

The 23 time Grammy award winner turns 38-years-old today (4/9/81.)

Her mother Tina Lawson was one of the first to wish her best wishes on social media.

The businesswoman and fashion designer was seen posing next to her eldest daughter in a photo shared to Instagram.

“38 years ago today you came into my life and I know without a shred of doubt that God sent you!!!” she began her caption.

“I had recently lost my mom and never thought that I could feel that particular kind of love again. The moment I saw you I knew that that was IT!!!! We’ve been the best of friends since then.”

“You have brought me such Joy and pride and love and friendship!!!” she added.

Queen Bey’s best friend and Destiny Child’s bandmate Kelly Rowland also shared a birthday tribute.

Sharing a sweet picture of the two together, she captioned the snap:

“Ain’t no mountain, ain’t no sea …Keep my sista ‘way from me! I love you a BiG piece! Happy Birthday my BB!!”

Oscar – nominated director Ava DuVernay – who directed Beyonce in her music video “Family Feud” – also paid tribute to the much loved star.

“Today is a perfect day to post a gif from that one time I directed the Queen in all her splendor,” she wrote.

“She was absolutely lovely, absolutely prepared, absolutely kind and absolutely herself in every moment. Wishing @Beyonce a nourishing birthday filled with love.”

Global streaming service Netflix, who acquired Beyonce’s concert film Homecoming, also wished the idol happy birthday.

“She is once-in-a-lifetime talent who has forever changed the entertainment industry as we know it and always been a force for good in this world. Happy Birthday Beyoncé. Long may you reign.”
