It was the iconic episode of the The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air.
Dr Hoover and his wife paid a visit to Phillip and Vivian Banks Bel – Air mansion. The couple were invited to the household to discuss the Hoover’s daughter bullying Ashley Banks.
The actor who played the funny role of Dr. Hoover has sadly died after complications from multiple myeloma.
John Wesley’s family confirmed on Sunday that he died from the type of blood cancer. He was 72.
“John Wesley was a gift to the world, for his kindness and grace are immortalized in his works of theatre, TV and film,” Wesley’s manager and producer, Gerry Pass, said in a statement.
“I am heartbroken to have lost a dear friend today.”
Apart from of his notable role in one episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Wesley had more than 100 film and television credits.
He worked with prominent Hollywood figures such as Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman and Barbara Streisand.
Some of Wesley’s performances include Sweets Walker in the Dirty Dancing TV adaptation, Frasier, The Jeffersons and in Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot.
He was also a theater veteran, having taken roles in Lillian Helman’s Toys in the Attic at the London Globe.
Before embarking on a career in acting, Wesley was in the United States army.
He bravely served during the Vietnam War after which he was honourably discharged.
Wesley later obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degrees from the University of San Diego. Then going on to gain his Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, San Diego.
According to theHollywood Reporter, Wesley is survived by his wife, Jenny Houston; his mother, Hazel Baskin; his daughters, Kimiko Kamiel Houston and Kinshasha Houston; stepson, Kyler Richie; siblings and grandchildren,
