From June 14th to June 16th, 2022, Italy’s 40th Vicenza Course on AKI&CRRT was grandly held. The three-day conference had a series of online and offline lectures and panel discussions, aiming to bring together authoritative experts and scholars from around the world to discuss the use of a multidisciplinary approach to treating critically ill patients with acute kidney injury and multiple organ dysfunction. Vicenza Course is a unique event in 2022, and it will serve as a pillar for knowledge and education in the fields of AKI, CRRT, and Critical Care Nephrology.
Jafron Biomedical, a forerunner of blood purification technology, presented at the congress with HA series, Future F20, and other hemoperfusion products targeting various diseases. In addition, during the congress, Jafron held a symposium, an expert face-to-face meeting, and an expert seminar.
On June 14th, at Jafron’s satellite symposium on the 40th Vicenza Course, Prof. Claudio Ronco, director of the International Renal Research Institute (IRRIV), Prof. Schneider Antoine, Director of the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital Center Vodowa University Hospital (CHUV) in Lausanne, mainly introduced the remarkable effect of hemoperfusion technology in extracardiac surgery. On the other hand, Prof. Vincenzo Cantaluppi of Nephrology from Italy shared the Shanghai expert consensus on the combined artificial kidney as the core of treatment.
In the face-to-face event with experts on June 15th, Prof. Claudio Ronco and Prof. Rinaldo Bellomo of Intensive Care at the University of Melbourne affirmed the contribution of Jafron technology and products to the international medical field through introducing the development of CRRT, the key role of hemoperfusion in blood purification treatment, and the role of DPMAS in treating liver failure.
On June 16th, at the expert seminar, 14 international experts and doctors from Germany, France, Italy and other countries summarized the essential information of the 3-day conference, discussed the prospects of hemoperfusion technology and proposed some development proposals. They hope that global medical care will pay attention to the data collection and publication in the clinical application process and jointly contribute to the medical evidence system of hemadsorption technology.
The 40th Vicenza Course was an excellent opportunity for on-site and virtual participants to gather state-of-the-art information and knowledge for renal and non-renal indications and the entire field of blood purification technology. This conference’s spirit of information sharing and technological breakthroughs perfectly align with Jafron’s vision of “Health Technology for a better world.” Jafron’s participation in this conference not only got a lot of information about the industry’s dynamics but also popularized the knowledge of hemoperfusion in a broader population. It was a fruitful meeting.
In October 2022, we will also attend the European Critical Care Annual Conference to share information and technology with the global medical community. Looking forward to seeing you there!
