Albert Thomas was only 20 years old. His cousin Dajon Ross was just a year older.
But they were both allegedly gunned down and killed by an Oklahoma couple, reports KTUL.
Manuel and Angelica Quezada were taken into custody on Tuesday night. The husband allegedly shot and killed their daughter’s boyfriend and his cousin when they showed up at their family home.
The fatal double shooting outside their home in Owasso, Oklahoma.
Manuel was arrested for first degree murder for allegedly shooting Thomas and Ross.
He was wife was arrested as an alleged accessory to the crime.
Police say the men had come to the home to pick up the couple’s daughter, Samantha Quezada, to take her to a movie. His cousin, 21-year-old Dajon Ross, tagged along.
Manuel Quezada allegedly shot one of the men in the driveway outside their home and the other in the car he was in.
According to Samantha, she shot her boyfriend because he wasn’t happy about them being a couple.
“I was in the back seat when it happened,” Quezada recalled. “It was out of character; I did not expect that.”
Both victims were rushed to the hospital where they later died.
Friends and relatives of the two victims paid tribute to them on social media. Albert’s mother launched a Facebook campaign to help pay for her nephew and son’s funeral.
“They were in school together. They were like two peas in a pod. They were always together, him and Dajon. If you couldn’t find Albert, you’d call Dajon,” Thomas’s mother, Katrina West, said.
