Disturbing photographs show a 60-year-old man supposedly marrying a 15-year-old girl in India.

An Indian Twitter user posted photos of a young, seemingly depressed bride, who was married off to an older Nigerian man.

The girl is said to be around 15 years old while the Nigerian man is said to be in his 60s.

The wedding ceremony took place in Karnataka, a state in South western region of India.

The pictures of the wedding have gone viral on social media as a Twitter user claimed that the young Muslim girl was sold off to the Nigerian man.

The pictures show members of the bride’s family in attendance.
