So, after nearly two years of waiting, Stranger Things has returned for its third season, which is now available to stream on Netflix in India and around the world. Like the first season, number three has eight episodes, set in summer 1985, just over half a year after the events of season 2. The Upside Down has returned to torment Hawking, a small town in the US state of Indiana. This comes despite Eleven’s efforts to close off the portal of monsters at the end of the previous season. This time, there is a new addition to the crew in the form of Robin, an alternative girl bored with her job.
Other new cast members include Heather, the lifeguard at the Hawkins pool who finds herself caught up in a dark mystery, Mayor Kline, who only cares about his public image, and Bruce, a senior journalist at the local newspaper The Hawkins Post. The existing cast remains as the characters we know- Joyce Byers, Jim Hopper, Mike Wheeler, Eleven, Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair, Will Byers, Max Mayfield, Nancy Wheeler, Jonathan Byers, Steve Harrington, Billy Hargrove, Karen Wheeler, Erica Sinclair- have returned.

“It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.”
Season Three of Stranger Things is out now with new episodes of Netflix shows release at 12 am PT. In India, that is 12:30 pm IST from mid-March to early November.
