Stunning South Sudanese Student Goes Viral With Social Media Campaigning To Get Her A Modelling Contract

Anok Yai was just minding her own business at the Howard University homecoming over the weekend. 

But her stunning features were noticed by a photographer who couldn’t help but take her picture. 

The South Sudanese student, who is currently studying biochemistry at Plymouth State University, soon went viral. 

She has now become the center of a social media campaign to get her a modeling contract.

Anok flawless skin and gorgeous curls garnered hundreds of positive comments.

The beauty got almost 10,000 likes within three days.

Modeling scouts have even been after her, with one commenting: ‘Did someone already get her? I place models with Next worldwide – check your DM ASAP’.

Anok was oblivious to the internet storm, until she picked up her phone and found hundreds of Instagram notifications piling in.

Anok moved to the States in 2000 and has never modelled – although it’s been an ambition of hers.

‘I’ve always thought about modelling,’ she tells Yahoo. ‘It’s a dream that I’ve wanted for a long time but always pushed to the side because of self-doubt and distractions from school.
