Upgrading to Windows 11 – How To Do It

Microsoft have just recently released their latest Operating System for its devices, Windows 11 – it is a great release with some much needed and appreciated user-friendly updates and some seriously cool upgrades for gamers too.

Some people aren’t too sure if upgrading to the latest Windows 11 OS is actually right for them – maybe the new changes are not needed? Any IT Managed Services Company could help steer you in the right direction as to whether or not Windows 11 is right for you, or if your current Windows 10 OS is doing the job just fine.

If you do decide that the upgrade is worth it for you – we’ve tested the download process and have put together some helpful tips for you to follow in order to ensure your download goes smoothly and that your device is able to run Windows 11 in the first place.

Firstly, you will need to check if your device is compatible with Windows 11 or not – not all devices are. Check for updates in your search bar and see whether or not Microsoft think your device can work with Windows 11 or not – if an update is available, you can then start the process of getting it installed. If you’re feeling like you need some extra help, speak to any IT Support Providers to see how they can assist you.

You will need check your hardware requirements next, click the button and it will take you to a website where you will then be able to download the PC Health Checker. Download this and then open it up once its downloaded – sign in with your Microsoft account and click the ‘check now’ button to run a test on your device’s health. It will generate a response and if everything is alright – eg, your device meets the health requirements for Windows 11, you can start downloading it!

Windows 11 will begin downloading, installing, and restarting your device – you will need to be patient here as it may take some time but it is well worth the wait.

If you are looking for a huge update across multiple devices for your business, or maybe just need some help with setting up your own device, speak to an IT Support Provider for some additional help.
