Ciara Writes Empowering Letter To Her Daughter After Buying Seattle Sounders Pro Soccer Team

If you’re a noughties kid you probably one, two stepped and shook your goodies to singer Ciara’s songs. 

The talented 33-year-old not only has hit records but a modeling contract with IMG. Now the proud mom-of two can add sports mogul to her résumé.

Ciara has become a joint owner with husband Russell Wilson of major league soccer team Seattle Sounders.

Ciara took to Instagram with the announcement and later followed it with an empowering message for her daughter Sienna.

The Grammy-winning artist wrote to her only daughter, “Baby Girl, You will be able to do anything you put your mind to if you simply believe! Never walk in a room thinking of what you can’t do because of your gender!”

“If you think it, it’s possible. If you dream it, it’s possible. If you believe it, it’s possible. It’s that simple.”

She posted the letter with a video of their family wearing some green Sounders jerseys. The Wilson’s celebrated at CenturyLink Field, where Russell’s NFL team Seattle Seahawks also play.

The sweet video sees two-year old Sienna kicking a ball as she scored a goal against her quarterback dad.

Ciara’s son Future also took a shot against his stepdad – who he affectionately calls “Papa.”

The caption continued: “There’s only a small handful of female owners of any Major League Sports team, and I’m proud to be one of them!”

“You are next Baby Girl! I have no doubt that by the time you’re my age, there will be many more! Go Si Si mama!”

The letter also included an empowering message for girls everywhere: “And to every girl in this world, you can do anything you want to do and be anything you want to be! It truly possible if you believe.”

Wilson also took to Instagram with the news: “Football. Fútbol. We Love them both! @Ciara and I are fired up to announce we are Team Owners of the @Soundersfc one of the best franchises in the world!”

‘We can’t wait for our kids to grow up loving Soccer! Family is everything! We Love You Seattle!’

Ciara joins 11 other families with ties to Seattle as new owners of the team, including Macklemore and Drew Carey.
