Miss France 2017: Gorgeous Black Woman with Awesome Natural Hair

I’m honored and happy to talk about this gorgeous black woman that comes from the French territory of French Guiana. This is Alicia Aylies.

She is 18-years-old that won the Miss France 2017 competition. She will go ahead and represent the country at the upcoming Miss Universe beauty pageant in 2018.

Just look at her. I can watch her for a week!

She is a first-year law student and the first ever representative to come from the French Guiana and win the competition.

Alicia started with the whole modeling thing when she was 16-years-old. At first, she declined to join the models at the stage for the Miss Guyana competition, but it was her family and friends that made her do it.

And of course, she came out as a winner on October 18.

The most important thing about this is when she was asked about the backlash on Europe 1, Alicia kept her composure and answered:

“Ça passe au-dessus. Je ne fais pas vraiment attention à ça… la France avait peut-être besoin de voir une Miss France de couleur.”

The translation:

“It passes over. I do not pay much attention to this. France might need to see a Miss France of color.”
