Nurses Spark Outrage As They Film Themselves Squashing A New-Born Baby’s Face.

Nurses are employed to care for the sick, to help them recuperate in a safe and healthy environment.

That was perhaps why it was so baffling that some registered nurses in Saudi Arabia decided to cause pain to one of their patients.

Even more baffling is the fact that the victim of these so-called nurses was a newborn baby and that they filmed the entire incident and posted it on the internet.

In a case that has sparked immense outrage among observers, three nurses filmed themselves squishing a newborn baby’s face and laughing while doing it.

The three nurses worked at a maternity hospital in Taif, Saudi Arabia where the baby was said to have been for the past ten days.

According to the father of the newborn, his child was being treated for a urinary tract infection when he saw the outrageous video making the rounds online.

The despicable video shows one of the nurses grasping the baby a little more firmly than the parents would have liked by the neck.

The supposed nurse then went on to cruelly squash the helpless infant’s face after using her other hand to grasp the baby by its forehead.

Essentially, the baby was hanging mid-air while his face was being squashed by the cruel nurses.

The other two nurses were videoing the actions of their fellow nurse and giggling while all of this was going on.

Three nurses who worked at a maternity hospital Taif, Saudi Arabia have been fired, with their nursing licenses also revoked after they filmed themselves laughing while squishing a newborn’s face.

The father of the infant discovered the clip and was understandably outraged at the shocking treatment his child received from the nurses.

He stormed to the maternity hospital to demand an explanation and investigation on the matter.

Three members of staff at a maternity hospital in Taif, Saudi Arabia, were soon identified and tracked down.

It all got very real very fast for the three nurses as they have been fired from the maternity hospital and have also been banned from working in other nursing jobs; at least in Saudi Arabia.

In addition to the loss of their jobs, there is a distinct possibility that the trio could face criminal cases after the furious father said he plans to take the incident to court.

Abdulhadi Al-Rabie, Taif Health Affairs spokesman, said,

‘The Health Affairs investigated the source of the video and was able to identify the nurses who appeared in the video and the hospital where the incident took place.’

The baby’s father told Saudi media that his baby was in the hospital for ten days for treatment for a urinary tract infection and was shocked when he saw the video being widely shared on social media.

Social media users who viewed the horrendous clip were horrified at the footage and have been quick to express their outrage.

One of such users  wrote,

‘How dare they do this? All three nurses should thank God I was not the baby’s mother. I’d squeeze all your faces much harder.’

Their names have not been released to the media but the outraged father wants them shamed.

He also wants to file criminal charges against the trio, saying the nurses did not just hurt the child but also made the kid a laughing stock by posting the video online.
