“Scandal” And “How To Get Away With Murder” Crossover In The Works!

OH. M. Gee! Two of the best shows on television are doing a crossover!

ABC announced on Wednesday a crossover episodes between Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder.

The lead actresses of both shows Kerry Washington and Viola Davis teased the upcoming episodes in a series of playful social media posts.

Washington put out a photo of herself on the How to Get Away With Murder set with the caption, “Hey Ms @violadavis check it out. This spot look familiar?! Where are you?”

Davis followed up shortly thereafter with a photo of herself on the Scandal set with a caption that read, “Hey @KerryWashington, guess where I am?!

How to Get Away With Murder creator Pete Nowalk further fueled fan frenzy when he tweeted a script page between Washington and Davis’ characters. 

Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes reposted the exciting scene.

Rhimes is also the showrunner on “Scandal,” which she created.

The crossover will begin on a new episode of Scandal and conclude on the episode of How to Get Away with Murder immediately after.

The “Scandal” crossover episode has been written by Raamla Mohamed and will be directed by Scandal star Tony Goldwyn.

Goldwyn plays former President Fitzgerald Grant.

The How to Get Away with Murder crossover episode has been written by Morenike Balogun and Sarah L. Thompson with Zetna Fuentes will direct.

Scandal is currently in its seventh and final season, while How to Get Away with Murder is in its fourth.

Both shows will make their midseason returns on Jan. 18, along with fellow Shondaland show Grey’s Anatomy.
