Texas Woman, 26, Is Charged With Murder For ‘Shooting Dead Her Boyfriend’s Seven-Year-Old Son’ After Leading Cops On Nine Mile Car Chase

It is hard enough reading about the murders of innocent people in the news on a daily basis.

But when comes to the murder of a child – it becomes even more heartbreaking.

Brooke Craig is facing a capital murder charge after allegedly gunning down seven-year-old Kaden Green in Greenville.

Police say the Texas woman shot and killed her boyfriend’s son.

The 26-year-old was arrested and taken into custody after leading police on a chase to Frisco, a Dallas suburb, alongside alleged drug dealer Cameron Castillo.

What makes the case even more troubling is Child Protective Services say Cameron Castillo is Kaden’s father.

Craig is not the child’s mother, but is in a relationship with Castillo, according to NBC5.

Police say they were called to a home in Greenville Thursday afternoon. 

At the same time, they were told a seven-year-old gunshot victim was taken to a hospital and died soon after.

The police chase began around 2:45 a.m. Friday.

The suspects were apprehended about nine miles from where it began. Thankfully no one was hurt in the chase. 

Craig has been named in a capital murder warrant related to the shooting.

The siblings of the child who was killed were removed from the home and placed in foster care, a spokesperson for Child Protective Services reported to WFAA-TV.

However a family member has set up a GoFundMe account.

No motive was given for the crime.
