Now this is a blast from the past!
Actress AJ Johnson is mostly for playing Tyrese’s fierce mom in the John Singleton directed movie Baby Boy .
She is also known for her role in House Party alongside Tisha Campbell. A.J played the flirty character Sharane.
But most recently AJ, whose real name is Adrienne-Joi Johnson, has evolved into a fitness coach.
The 53-year-old released some incredible pictures of her exceptional abs in a recent magazine shoot for BFW magazine.
In addition to being an accomplished actress and dancer, AJ is also a wellness coach to celebrities.
She was also the host of the VH1 reality fitness competition From Flab to Fab.
A.J has made numerous ‘healthy living’ television and magazine appearances.
She has also been the spokesperson for the American Cancer Society having lost her mother to cancer at age 17.
A.J appeared as Lindsay Lohan‘s life coach in the 2014 OWN docu-series Lindsay.
Lohan reportedly had mixed feelings about A.J after she questioned her sobriety.
Their rocky relationship caused A.J to quit the show.
In one episode A.J is seen confronting Lindsay about her drinking.
“When we were at dinner the other night, your mom told me you had been drinking,” A.J. tells Lohan.
“When we were at dinner with my mom…when she was having drinks?” Lohan asked, eyebrows raised.
“It kind of hit me when she told me that,” Johnson says.
“And then when I came in the next morning, I found wine in [your apartment].”
Lohan continued to deny she had been drinking, and claimed she would have talked to her sober coach, Michael if she felt like she would relapse.
“And I was not drinking because I did go to a meeting with my friend, Carter,” she says. “And this is something that I don’t feel comfortable talking about on camera.”
“And I thought you — as my friend, of all people — would tell me that in private.”
She adds that her mother, Dina Lohan, is “someone who was living in the guilt of her own actions, projecting it onto me.”
A.J tried to explain to Lindsay that she just wanted honesty from her.
“As so many people doubt, and so many people are non-believers, if I can help you tell your truth — and it’s your truth and your honesty, which is what you told Oprah you were going to give in this — I want to help you tell that,” AJ tells her.
While Lindsay was adamant that she wanted people to see the real her, she wishes A.J had come to her in private.
“I’m just a little bit offended at the fact that we’ve had a personal relationship off-camera, and it’s something that you’re throwing at me on-camera,” she says.
“I would have appreciated you telling me one-on-one first.”
From Lindsay’s “life-coach” to a fitness extraordinaire – A.J Johnson has certainly come a long way from Will Smith’s love interest on The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air!
