This Bride Had An All Black Wedding – And It Totally Rocked!

With wedding season in full swing, a good number of us will finally be showing a bit of leg in the summer’s heat and wearing our best floral gowns.

But how many weddings will you attend where the bride wears black?

For Sophie Cachia, from Melbourne, this was exactly what she wanted for her big day.

The 25-year-old decided to break tradition and wear a jet black gown to walk down the aisle and marry her now-husband, Jaryd Cachia,

The unique dress was designed by Anthony Montesano from Signor Mont Couture.

It featured a fishtail bottom, low neckline, intricate beading and lace.

Not only did Sophia wear black, but so did all her bridesmaids. The ladies wore a simple black high necked dress with long sleeves. The bridesmaids also carried greenery and not flowers.

The brides bouquet was also made up of greenery but had some pink and purple flowers to make her stand out.

The blogger and mother, who runs the blog The Young Mummy, told Daily Mail Australia she chose to wear black as it reflected her style.

‘I always wear black anyway, I think it suits me and it’s such a bold and striking colour,’ she said.

Mrs Cachia’s now-husband, Jaryd Cachia, also decided to buck tradition, and paired a maroon dinner jacket with a paisley shirt, black bow tie and leather pants.

‘We didn’t do it for anyone but us, we wanted to wear what we wanted to wear, simple as that,’ Mrs Cachia said.

Her wedding pictures have since gone viral because of her unusual choice in wedding attire.

But Mrs Cachia says everyone that knows her was not surprised she chose to wear black.

‘I didn’t want anything traditional … everyone has a wedding, why does everyone have to do everything the same, there’s no rule book,’ she said.

‘I didn’t do it for attention, or to be known as the girl who wore a black dress on my wedding day.’

‘I just wanted to wear a dress I think is beautiful.’
