A white American couple have won the Internet after they showed their love for Nigeria.
According to their daughter Ellie Kathamn, who shared the photos on the Twitter, her parents were invited to an olympic themed party and they chose to dress like the Nigerian Olympians.
Her tweet received a lot of positive and hilarious reactions especially from the Nigerian Twitter community.
While some took the opportunity to give them Nigerian names and citizenship, others simply found it sweet.
The Winter Olympic dreams for Nigeria’s first-ever bobsled team became a reality on Feb. 9.
The inspiring team stepped into the arena during the 2018 Opening Ceremony in PyeongChang, South Korea.
The bobsled team are composed of athletes Seun Adigun, Akuoma Omeoga, Ngozi Onwumere and Nigerian/Canadian skeleton athlete Simidele Adeagbo.
Adigun, the bobsled team member formed a GoFundMe to help source money for their trip to Korea.
The ladies created a wooden sled to train.
Seun Adigun teammates paused their careers in order to pursue their Olympics dreams.
“I can’t wait to get on that stage and give people every ounce of our passion,” Adigun told TIME of competing at the Olympics.
