Tamera Mowry-Housley Breaks Her Silence On The Sister, Sister Reboot

Sister, Sister fans rejoiced when co-star Jackée Harry, recently confirmed a reboot.

The 61-year-old – who played Lisa Landry on the hit show – spilled the tea on the Steve Harvey last week.

But before we all get out our beanie hats and baggy trousers, Tamera Mowry-Housley is setting the record straight.

“The thing is, nothing new is happening. I think maybe Jackée was really excited or something, but we’re still in the process,” Mowry-Housley said on The Real last Wednesday.

“But nothing is confirmed yet. We have a writer … we’re just trying to find a home for the show. But we have everything else, and everyone is signed on, so that’s what we’re waiting on”

“So one more step.”

The 39-year-old added her co-star and sister Tia Mowry-Hardrict “is pregnant right now and the writer is doing a play in New York.

“So things are kind of on hold, but we are continuing those meetings in a couple months,” Mowry-Housley said.

Asked if a revival could materialize sometime in 2019, the mom-of-two said, “Oh my gosh, yes.”

Sister, Sister chronicled the lives of identical twins Tia Landry (Tia Mowry-Hardrict) and Tamera Campbell (Tamera Mowry-Housley)

The twins were separated at birth but, after meeting at the mall, move in together with their respective single adoptive mother and single adoptive father.

Meanwhile, Tia Mowry-Hardrict recently gushed that she is excited to be in talks for the reboot.

“We’re talking about working with the producers who were producers on the show 15, 20 years ago.”

“Just to be sitting in these meetings with them 20 years later, it’s crazy.”

As for the new concept, Tia says:

“I’d like it to be where we are in our lives right now. We’re moms with children, but I would like for the show to really focus on sisterhood and the strengths and weaknesses of sisterhood.”
