Florida Boy, 12, Charged With Manslaughter In Death Of 12-Year-Old Girl Who Was Shot In The Head At Slumber Party During Dare

12-year-old Ra’Mya Eunice valiantly fought for her life. 

She was shot in the head on April 30 at a home in Willow Branch Avenue at around 1.45am. 

But Ra’Mya sadly lost her battle for life on May 25. She was removed from life support at University of Florida Health in Jacksonville, Florida. 

But now it has emerged that a 12-year-old boy has been charged with manslaughter in connection with her death.

The boy allegedly shot Ra’Mya Eunice during a slumber party in April during a dare.

Authorities arrested the 12-year-old boy at his home on October 20. According to the affidavit, the children had been reportedly been playing in the living room.

The boy then went outside and grabbed a shotgun hidden beneath the home. 

When he returned, the boy pointed the loaded weapon at everyone in the room, witnesses said. 

The little boy then allegedly intimidated those in the room. While the gun was leveled at Eunice he told her, ‘Say I won’t,’ according to the affidavit. 

A guest then replied, ‘You won’t,’ and that’s when the boy reportedly pulled the trigger.

The bullet struck Eunice in the head.

The girl’s family are left heartbroken and confused as to the what happened.

‘I was devastated because why would a 12-year-old have a shotgun in their possession?’ her grandmother, Terri Eunice, asked WJXT. 

Ms Eunice believes there are others who need to held accountable for what happened to her granddaughter.  

‘If you have a sleepover with several kids, why isn’t there adult supervision in the home,’ she said.

The young girl was set to turn 13 years old on December 3. Her family plans on celebrating her birthday.   

‘I miss my baby and I wish she was still here,’ the heartbroken grandmother said.

The name of the 12-year-old boy has not been released.
